Each blush comes in limited edition pink metallic packaging with a pretty cherry blossom face plate. The blush is available in three shades here in the US (more in Japan) and is $31 for 0.14 oz. MAC Black Cherry Extra Dimension Blush is a new, limited edition launch celebrating Spring and the cherry blossoms in Japan.

There’s no glow or pretty shimmer here!ĭid anyone grab any of the MAC Black Cherry Blushes? I think Extra Dimension Blush is a formula I commonly associate with a pretty glow and that’s likely one of the biggest faults I found with this shade (and the others from this collection). I wish it applied more apricot but it sadly did not.

It might look nicer on a different skin tone than my own! It looked like a very sheer, dull pink on me. This was just not what I was expecting for some reason. Once applied it wore quite well without fading for a solid several hours and had a very smooth finish that didn’t adhere to drier areas on my face and cheeks. It didn’t have a single bit of powdery kick up no matter how hard I swiped across it with my brush. The powder is fairly dense but has a very smooth consistency that was easy to pick up with my brush and it blended and applied very easily. You can actually see it has a nice soft sheen on my wrist swatch but that fails to appear after I apply it on my face. It just fell flat on my cheeks and looked rather meh. I was left wanting more shimmer, more glow, more luminosity after applying the color. The surface a hint of a sheen but it applies almost matte on my face and quite sheer. It does have elements of apricot but not coral in my opinion! It has a bit of pink in the packaging and I think it applies very pink on my cheeks. Look, Don’t Touch! is described as a soft coral apricot. The packaging, the colors, it all really spoke to me. This is seriously one of the very few MAC Collections that’s tempted me a while. It comes packaged in a limited edition pink metallic case with a gorgeous cherry blossom face plate. MAC Black Cherry Extra Dimension Blush is $31 and 0.14 oz.
#WHAT LIPSTICK GOES WITH MAC PEACHES BLUSH PLUS#
I think I commonly associate shimmer with the MAC Extra Dimension Blush and the combination of that plus the shade offering in the Black Cherry Collection is what tempted me to grab all three colors but I have some regrets about that. Love, Don’t Touch! looks like a glistening golden apricot in pictures but it applies more like a cooler, sheer pink. Also, the colors are misleading in promo images. I was expecting luminous glowy blushes but they actually apply quite flat and almost matte. I’m probably in the minority here but I was so disappointed when these arrived. MAC Black Cherry Extra Dimension Blush recently launched in three shades here in the US for Spring 2021 and I immediately had to have all of them! The promo images made these look like shades I’d totally love especially the shade Look, Don’t Touch! which is the shade I’m featuring in this review.
